Me and cuzin Michele!!

We did it cousin!!! She tore it up! I am so proud of her...she did not train for the race - nor did I - ran through some tough hills, and some crazy distance all with a compromised knee....we are crazy cousins and that's the way we like it!!! All the women on the course loved our pink skirts, gloves, beenies and anything else we found pink to run in.....Go team!!! A lady had a sign around mile 20 that read..."Suck It Cancer!!" I laughed so hard......then yelled "Yea....suck it cancer!!!" We danced and had so much fun that everybody wondered how we were able to do that.
Cause we love eachother, support eachother, and help eachother to take another step forward when we feel like stopping. Michele has always been there for me, and I for her. We've both traveled through some really dark places in our lives, some together, some not.....but we always knew that we could do a race together and somehow everything just felt better after that. I'm still a little scared about what tomorrow holds for me and scared for her and that lump she feels...but I know no matter what life throws at us - we will be there for one another - arms wrapped around the others shoulders - race bib pinned to our shirts - saying "c'mon couzin you can do it..." and we ALWAYS do. Somehow. And after the race and the time spent together laughing - it's always better in the world.

Shari, I just want to say congratulations on yet another marathon! And this one with special meaning in your life. I'll keep you and your cousin in my prayers for good health. I hope her lump turns out to be nothing and that you don't have cancer in your mouth. Stay positive and continue to surround yourself with loving, caring, supportive people. You can make it through anything!

Awww cuz'n, you made me cry! :) Not like we didn't do that enough on the course, huh? :) ha ha! You were the BEST, thanks so much for helpin' this untrained jackass pull off a marathon with no training. My fault this time, I know, but you know I was gonna finish it, even if I had to hop and limp the last 1.5 miles! Wow, my body has never given out like that. It's all your fault though . . . I was ready to not even show up, but you said "No, we have to get our damn Tiffany necklace!!". So, I hope you f'n wear it every f'n day beeyotch!!

I LOVE YOU!!

P.S. When's the next marathon?

:O) Ahahahaha. No, seriously.

I'm so glad to have found some info on my absolute fav Crossfit girl! My husband affiliated and met Brendan, Nicole & Annie at the cert. in March but no Shari! I've always thought you look like Lauren Holly! From watching the CF videos while preggo with #2 I really focused on you as my inspiration. You look like you're having fun! I did not know you were a runner---much respect from a little newbie crossfit chick way down in AL (I was born in CA at least! ha) Gwen from www.alabamacrossfit.com Take care! You have an awesome looking family.

I'll keep that in mind if B and I decide to start a family together. Somehow I don't thin I'd be like Annie climbing the rope at 8 months.....hmmm....thans for the stop by and keep in touch!!

Hey girl! Been thinking about you... CIM only 9 days away. Are you ready to kick ass? You will!!! I'm going to run w/ the 3:20 pace group and see how it goes from there. I feel ready, trained, excited and nervous. I just plan on using what I've put in the tank in the last few months...and the rest is up to the Good Lord himself. ;) Hope all is well!
