Remembering....

http://photos1.blogger.com/blogger/6391/4030/640/pictures8%20010.jpg

So I got a call a while back from B saying he was remembering the good times...like this one when we got lost on a run. I remember it well. We got lost, took a wrong turn. Ended up running almost 6 miles further than expected. Ran out of water. Had zero food. All we could think of was finding the aid station. When we did we practically camped out there and ate everything in site before we continued to the finish. I made him run 24 miles that day...almost a marathon. He did great and we had one of the best times ever. We will never forget that day I'm sure. Weird how times change.. even after hurt affects you, you can still feel the sting of pain, but at the same time have a warmness fill you from thoughts of great times. 3 years was a long time to make memories. Nobody can take those away from us. I still cherish them, always will....and I know even though all that happened, he does to. Strange I know.....but I still care.

I know it's not the same but I can relate. 3 years is a long time with lots of memories...

Off topic but I finally got a pull up, Shari. =] I've only been "REALLY" trying for a month with bands. I randomly tried today and BAM! 'cept I hopped off and was like, "No way.." Hopped up for another and nothing. Pfft! I'm so mad now.

CrossFit Solano is an affiliate now...I hope to take the trainers to SC some time in the future. I'd really like to see you again.

p.s. I go for my cert this weekend at One World.

Aw Shari, I do really hope you're doing ok. =] You're such a lovely individual.

I am doing well....my life is going great really...except for the fact that B calls and texts me. I think now that time has passed its all sinking in - for both of us. Anyway, I'm happy...healthy...kids are awesome...I'm stronger. I definitely want to see you sometime girl! Congrats on that PULLUP!! WOO HOO!!

Sounds like the thrill of something new and shiny wore off, and he finally realized what he lost. What a boob; I'm surprised it took him this long to figure it out.

You are a strong, beautiful, amazing person Shari! I hope all is well out in sunny California!

It's not strange, it shows you are strong enough to ignore the pain and remember the blessings. I am currently in the process of ending a 17 year marriage, so I can relate! Keep treasuring the good and filtering out the bad( remember to let God help you do this) FYI: I have followed your blog off and on for about year and a half (found through crossfit.com) and I think you are an amazing person! Stay STRONG physically, mentally, and spiritually. ... I know you will!
